Kathy Sierra – Creating Passionate Users

One of my favorite blogs is Creating Passionate Users, a light-hearted blog focused on creating products and services that users are passionate about. Kathy is a frequent (although not the only) poster to the blog, and her posts are always insightful and fun. (I am a “passionate user” of the blog!)
That is why it was so disturbing to find out that she has received some rather graphic death threats from anonymous cowards, and it has caused her to fear so much for her life that she has stopped blogging and canceled a speaking engagement at a conference.
I feel sad, disgusted, appalled, and so much more. I can only think that the man posting the threat is so intimidated by a strong, vocal woman that he feels he has to strike out. I pity his family. I pity him.
Kathy, I hope the bastard gets locked in jail, or has a tragic accident with a spoon in the kitchen. Please don’t deprive the rest of us of your wisdom just because of one or two lunatics.
